About Miami and Miami Beach

The City of Miami, known as the “Magic City" due to it’s rapid growth, is located in Southeast Florida, between the Florida Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. Since its incorporation in 1896, the city has grown tremendously, transforming it into a global city known for its unique culture, influence on the fashion industry and importance in the world of finance. Since 2001, Miami has been undergoing a large building boom with more than 50 skyscrapers rising over 400 feet (122 m) built or currently under construction in the city. Miami's skyline is ranked third most impressive in the U.S., behind New York City and Chicago.
